PlayStation 5 (PS5) has been announced to launch in November. The pre orders went crazy and ran out everywhere.
This is because the PS5 was launched a month before Christmas. This is the family holiday season as well as the shopping season. Many are eyeing the PS5 as a Christmas present.
That’s why PS5 pre-orders went crazy. News.com Australia reported, Saturday (19/9/2020) global e-commerce starting from Amazon, JB Hi-Fi, EB Games and in Australia there is Harvey Norman, they all reportedly ran out of stock of pre orders in a matter of hours.
JB Hi Fi reportedly stopped pre-orders because there were too many. EB Games can still pre-order but for delivery in 2021. Meanwhile, Amazon still doesn’t know when the stock will be ready to pre-order again.
The interest in PS5 has been very high since it was reported to be released near the end of 2020. There have been a number of line up games announced, for example Horizon Forbidden West, Hogwarts Legacy and Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
PS5 uses an 8-core AMD Zen 2 CPU with a speed of 3.5 GHz, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, and an AMD Radeon RDNA 2 GPU which produces processing speeds of up to 10.28 teraflops
